Biography

Ariadna Peya


Trained in dance in Barcelona, she has taken courses in New York, London, Israel, Berlin, Cuba, Bahia, and Buenos Aires with international choreographers.

She is passionate about movement and creation. Over time, she has developed a strong, passionate, meticulous, and poetic personal language. Her work is closely connected to music and to the blending of different performing arts languages.

PERFORMING ARTS

She has collaborated on the stage movement of the productions Mares i filles, Homes foscos (David Pintó, Clara Peya), Nine (by Mariona Castillo), Pluja (Guillem Albà and Clara Peya), Calma! (Guillem Albà), Jo Vaig amb mi (by Paco Mir), and Puertas Abiertas (directed by Abel Folk).

In 2011, she founded the company Les Impuxibles together with her sister Clara Peya, pianist and composer. She is the creator and performer of all their projects.

Les Impuxibles have worked with creators such as Carla Rovira, Marc Rosich, Judith Pujol, Virginia García / LA INTRUSA DANZA, Míriam Escurriola, Bel Olid, Arantza López, Laura Vilar, and Maria Velasco, among others.

Their most recent creations include: Limbo, Aüc; el so de les esquerdes, Painball, Suite Toc nº 6, Des-espera and FAM (Festival Grec 2021), HARAKIRI (Teatre Nacional de Catalunya 2022). Les Impuxibles are currently touring with CARAMEL, with texts by Pablo Messiez, produced by Teatre Lliure.

Choreographic director of the musical El despertar de la Primavera – Spring Awakening by Origen Produccions (Teatre Gaudí, Teatre Victòria) (2016).

Choreographer of La Torre dels Somnis, a circus and opera performance produced by the Liceu and Barcelona City Council, directed by Lluís Danès.

Choreographic director of MAREMAR, by Dagoll Dagom, premiered at Teatre Poliorama (2019).

Choreographic director of the Dagoll Dagom musical L’Alegria que passa (2023).

Choreographic director of the musical Germans de Sang, produced by Focus, premiered at Teatre Condal (2025).

Artistic director and choreographer of the music videos: Dreammer by Soraya; Calma, Oceanes, Reojo, Niña, Mujer Frontera, Agua en el pulmón by Clara Peya; Dance My Baby Dance by Funkystep & The Sey Sisters; Good Girl by Clara Gispert; and Canta by Judith Nedderman.

She has 25 years of teaching experience and has given courses in Catalonia, Spain, Buenos Aires, Lima, Guatemala, and Havana.

She has been teaching for twenty years, during which she has worked in different schools and workshops in Barcelona, Madrid and La Havana.
